Miles for Moms
My name is Jordan Love, a Holt Korean adoptee and member of Holt’s donor relations team. My childhood was mostly spent in and out of hospitals, trapped in medical devices, or healing from one of the more than 10 surgeries I had while growing up. I was jealous of my peers being able to participate in various Jog-A-Thons, Fun-Runs and 5ks, all raising money for different causes. These fundraisers were never an option for me…
But this year, on May 4th, I’m finally fulfilling my childhood dream. That's right...I'm going to do my first ever walking fundraiser! Will you support me?
I’m calling it the Miles for Moms, in honor of my mom, birth mother and the other amazing mom-figures in my life who gave me the care I needed. All money raised will help bridge the gap often experienced by children with special needs — kids like me who need things like emergency surgeries, extra daily support and services, special equipment, caretakers, and even the loving care of a mom through adoption.
